April 4th, 2011

At 9 a.m. on Monday, April 4th we met with Judge Beth Storey Bryan in her Chambers ~ where Maverick Cash Conner became "officially" official. It was such a sweet moment that we will never forget & there were nothing but tears of joy from this mommy and daddy.

Now, in this picture Maverick seems a little upset but he had just woke up before they snapped the picture  :)

Big Day Ahead!

We have an exciting day ahead of us today!

Today, Maverick will be going to church for the first time :)

Then we have our 1st baby shower this afternoon!

Very excited .... the only thing I have a little anxiety about since church time is about the time Maverick wakes up to eat, is that he will toot in the middle of the service .. LOL ....if that happens, 

I'll just let out a "Thank You, Jesus!" - Besides, look at what all we have to be thankful for!

He's Growing Like A Weed!

We had our "2 week" check up this week & the doctor just wanted Maverick to be back up to his birth weight - well, he made it & exceeded it! As of 3/22/11 Maverick weighed 8lbs 13oz :)

 And when we wash his hair...it's sooooo curly! He looks like a totally different baby boy! It relaxes to a wave during the day, especially if we put his cap on him ... so we know he will have a lot of body in his hair (which auntie Amber is thrilled about! LOL)

He's already growing up SO fast!

Introducing Maverick Cash Conner

Picture It...  It was a brisk Thursday morning, around 5 a.m., on March 10th 2011.
We were getting to the hospital to be induced - we knew that it would probably be a long day - but we had our bags packed & was ready to meet our son!

We had such a great day, I didn't want to leave our "baby momma" very much, so I stayed with her most of the day :) She was happy to meet our families that they were in & out of her room ( all meeting each other) also!

After being in labor all day, the doctor said that it was time! Jared & I got to be in the delivery room (which mostly meant I got to be right there with her & Jared sat in the corner because he didn't feel well) LOL. . . . Then... at 8:33 p.m. Maverick Cash Conner was born.

Jared & I were full of emotion as we saw him for the first time - a true miracle

Maverick was 8lbs 11oz & 20 1/2" long.

We've Made Progress!

We had a great doctor's appointment yesterday!

Maverick has dropped quite a bit since the last visit & we

are 50% ready in the other department to deliver!

So, right now it's a waiting game - if we haven't had the baby by next week then we'll be induced :)

Holy smokes.... we're having a baby... is this real?! Yes.. this is real.

I need a pinch!!

Sieze The Day

Today we have, what will possibly be our last doctor's appointment before lil' Maverick is born!

We go to the doctor this afternoon to see how everything is... and his actual due date is the day after tomorrow - CRAZY! Time has flown by so fast!! Well, the 3ish months we've had to process & prepare for everything has flown by so fast :) I'll keep you posted how it goes today to see what the future holds!

In the meantime ~"Carpe Diem... Sieze the Carpe"!! ha ha

(I wonder who of my friends will actually get that?)

And the Nameless Shall be Named!

The boy officially has a name... & he helped :)
Our baby-momma & I had a great time last Friday night & decided the best way was to have the little man decide! She & I had a one of our hands on her belly as I talked to him & told him what we were doing :)
I told him that we wanted him to kick for the names that he liked ~ I started going down the list... and the experience was soooo amazing! There were some names he didn't even move for - then it came down to the final 2 & he chose the ONE!! We were so excited & I danced around then I crouched down again, placed my hand down on her belly and said to my son -" now you have to be 100% positive that this is the name you choose" & it was like he karate chopped me!! lol It was the most precious, exciting, confirming baby kick ever :) I can't wait to meet this little man!
So .. It's official & I'm happy to report that no one/animals were harmed during this time, LoL

All work & no play make us very dull :)

Mom came over last night to help me make our crib bedding!

Considering, that it was after work & we were tired & we're both a little goofy sometimes...I think we laughed more than we sewed, Ha Ha!! Everything is coming together & it's looking super fab! (If I say so myself - since I picked out the fabric) I can't wait to finish it all up, put it all together & share the pics!

After last night, I'm not sure Jared understands how we are capable of such crafty masterpieces!

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep...

Our baby boy is due in 3 weeks and frankly, I've had a hard time putting together a nursery for a little boy. There aren't many options for boys & I hate to admit that's not 100% done. But I've made a room for a little baby~who will soon grow into a little man.  He might still be nameless, but he's ours.

P.s. If you have any great ideas for boy names  - I'm all ears :)

We have 2 names that we LOVE - but we can't decide between the 2.

 When Jared was born, his Papaw Hill handmade him a cradle & we are so excited to have it

in our little boy's nursery to use for the next generation. . .. The final picture doesn't do it justice - you'll have to come by & see it for yourself & go ahead & call before you come :) ha ha

The Snow Is Beautiful & That's About It

I got out & braved the cold with Bear & Chloe since we had been cooped up in the 

house & took the opportunity to take a few snap shots :)

And like I said in the title : The snow is beautiful but that's about it :)
