Here ... Fishy, Fishy!

Saturday, all the Conner kids & grand kids had a Big adventure at the Oklahoma Aquarium!

(along with The Cheesecake Factory & Ross) ;)

With Amanda & Brodie leaving this Thursday to move to ITALY..!!!....we knew that we all had to do something on our last weekend together. It ended up taking all day - but it was worth the time we got to spend with each other. Maverick was a little fussy, but for the most part was in a good mood :) I would have to say that the "petting" stations were a hit with the kids & of course, the shark tunnel!

3 Months Old

Maverick turned 3 months on the 10th of June - time has flown & stood still at the same time :)

It's unexplainable. I have mentioned this before & will say it again, that Jared & I had a fun & full life before but now it is fun & full in so many other ways - we are a complete little family - it's beautiful - 

Maverick is our sunshine.

He wants to hold his own bottle soooo bad :)

Roly Poly !

Yesterday after work, Maverick & I went to visit Nanny Conner (which is his Great G-ma) while Jared pruned all of her shrubs :) He got to meet his great Aunt Aleta too!!

After we ate supper, we laid Maverick on the living room floor - he was in such a GREAT mood - he was all smiles & would squeak when he got really excited! Ha ha!

Maverick did have some CRaZy hair going on - so Nanny got in the floor with us & was brushing Maverick's hair & he ended up with a "full bodied" Elvis curl :)

 BUT THEN, while we were on the 

floor MAVERICK ROLLED OVER!!!!!

So, I praised him with excitement & was so happy that Nanny got to see it & then I ran outside to get Jared & told him what happened so we both ran back in the house to see if he would roll over for Daddy ...... well, at this point you know that it's like taking your car to the shop for a noise & when you get it there it never does it :) ha ha - - so, Jared finally went back outside to finish the landscaping & AGAIN, Maverick rolled right over!!! I was like, AHHHH!!!! He isn't even 3 months old yet - I'm so proud of our little overachiever!

Ya, for my birthday!

It kind of stinks for your birthday to be on a "work day", let alone on a MONDAY ~ but I managed to have a great day & I got a little pampered along the way!

My Bestie took me to lunch & to get pedicures, but she didn't pick me up empty handed!

Then, I got a special delivery from my sweet Jared.

Then, we went to eat steak with my family & Jared took me to pick out some new kicks ~

and he surprised me with Adele's new CD (fabulous!)!

We made it the whole day without taking any pictures of me & my boys ~ but Uncle Casey did get this snapshot of Mav on Tuesday (his 2 month birthday!!) !

.... and yes, his hair is sticking straight up ;)

Blessed & Loved - Happy Mommy's Day!!

I had a fabulous 1st Mother's Day ~ I got a very special card from Jared & Maverick that

made me cry (tears of Joy) & then I got a little silver box that had "ZALES" on it .... before I opened it, Jared had told me that Maverick picked out my present & daddy just bought it ;)

We went to Church on Sunday, where Maverick along with several other lil' sweeties were dedicated!
We were ssssoooo happy to share this with our families that got to join us :) They gave us/Maverick a sweet gift - "A Tiny Testament" that 's blue with Maverick's name engraved on the front.

 

"As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there. 1 Samuel 1:26-28

 Then, we went to Donnie & Janet's house for dinner (mmmmmm!)
and got more Mother's Day surprises!


Janet surprised me, Amanda & Brittney with a sweet gift - - - it came in another "ZALES" package ;)
All of our gifts were different, but each of them had the birthstone of each of our children.... it was so special. . . This is a picture that I had to take from the internet & my ring is really close to this one.

 

THEN.... (can you believe that there is more?!) Amanda surprised me & Brittney with the cutest gift for me & Mav & Brittney & Syd - Aprons!

Then, we went to go see Maw-Maw & Paw Paw Jones & Grammy Pammy & Pappy Sims :)
After today, there is not doubt that we are blessed & loved!


But on another note ~ Today wouldn't have been possible for me or several other women that I know if it wasn't for the love of our birth mothers (or in our case, our "baby momma" ha ha). I know that every adoption doesn't have the best circumstances, but we are so blessed to have a fabulous "baby momma" that is not just a lady we know,  but a friend. And without her- our life wouldn't be 
what it is today. So, THANK YOU to all of the beautiful souls that have chosen adoption & given us the chance to be the mommies that we are today :)
