There is a Time for Everything...

Ecclesiastes 3:1
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven"

There has been so much happening since my last post.. so I'm not even sure where to start. But I'll try.
My sweet husband several weeks ago sent me an e-mail & all it said was " fall pics 2010, what a difference a year makes ;)" So I opened up the pictures he had sent & they were some "self" portraits that we tried to take with the dogs... wrong angles, too hard to set the timer & run in the frame without one of the dogs thinkin' we were playing a game .. etc. :) But, the point is we are blessed. This fall, we will be having professional pictures taken with our 7 1/2 month old son..  :` )

Here are the pics that were in Jared's e-mail (although some are SOOO not flattering, it's the thought)

In other news - - - in a nut shell: We took Maverick to his 6 month check-up & the circumference of his head had grown quite a bit larger since his 4 month check-up - she was concerned that he could possibly have fluid on his brain (hydrocephalus). So, we took him in to get a CT scan. She was able to give us the results after the scan was done. The results were none that we were expecting. . . Maverick had a subdural  hematoma
( a collection of blood on the surface of the brain ). We were then air flighted to Children's Hospital in Little Rock. He then had surgery on his skull, brain, however you want to call it - to remove as much blood as possible. All of his veins were blown, he lost too much blood, so he did have to get a blood transfusion. . . Thanks to all who donate!!! And basically - we are thankful to have a pediatrician that was concerned enough to recommend the CT scan to me, A great hospital for us to go to, talented medical staff that can perform amazing surgery's on little ones & a good attitude while parents stay there and the best friends & family for all of the prayers & support :) Maverick is doing well & we are praying that he will not have to have a follow-up surgery. We go back in November to meet with his Neurosurgeon & get more tests.
Thank you, Jesus for our sweet baby boy - Maverick Cash

This is Maverick when we were getting our results after his CT scan - such a happy boy...and don't be fooled, he doesn't have bottom teeth, that's just the shimmer of his slobber :)

Here is Daddy & Maverick before sugery

This is after surgery - his scar is covered, but he had a drainage tube & finally had gotten to have some Pedialyte!
Here is the big man's scar... pretty big if you compare it to the size of his head - looks like the stitches on a baseball.

Poked & Prodded ... Surgery, 3 IV's, Lobster hands.... but still smiles for us & tries to give maw-maw a "hi-5" :` )

This was one of our last days in the hospital.. we got to put MC's pj's on him before he went night-night :)

I believe everything happens for a reason... We may never know why this happened & we may not want to know why - because of Maverick, Amanda & Brodie were able to change their flights & come home early... maybe they weren't suppose to be on the original flight they booked - who knows. Anything is possible.

I  just thank God for our healthy little man every day :) Jesus just put a peace over me throughout the whole week & without Him I would have been a total mess.
